Each is designed to help connect you to your building's community through 'neighbourhoods' - distinct social spaces which include amenities such as a rooftop terrace, TV and Games room, and social lounges. When you need to focus on study, there is a choice of study spaces, unlimited WiFi, and Mac stations available. You'll also have access to a gym, vending machines and laundry facilities onsite.
For peace of mind, both buildings have swipe card access and CCTV. There is also secure bike storage and 24/7 onsite facility management.
What sets Scape Darling House apart is The Eatery where residents can eat well with meals prepared for them. Open from 7 am to 9 pm every day, they serve a range of delicious meals prepared fresh daily. Start your day with a beverage from the juice bar or the coffee stand, or if you prefer to make your own meal, you can use the active cooking stations. The Eatery change their menus weekly and are continually evolving to provide meals to sate all appetites.
Darling House also includes in-property "neighbourhoods". These social spaces are conveniently spread throughout the building and include study rooms, TV lounge areas, and study zones with kitchenettes. These shared spaces are great for meeting up with friends and for communal studying.
You have the choice of two types of rooms at Scape Darling House: twin bedrooms with ensuites and single bedrooms with ensuites. All rooms are fully furnished and include a study desk, single beds, a wardrobe, and plenty of storage space. Rooms come equipped with a small fridge with a freezer but do not include a kitchenette as all meals are provided.
Scape Darling Square has a much broader range of room options for Sydney students. For those seeking a social communal living experience, you can choose between twin ensuite rooms in eight-person apartments, single ensuite rooms in five-person apartments, or single ensuite rooms in four-person apartments.
All apartments come with a shared living room equipped with a sofa and flat-screen TV which are perfect for relaxing, plus a spacious kitchen and dining area where meals can be enjoyed with your housemates.
For those who prefer a little more privacy, consider one of the twin share studios, large studio apartments, and deluxe studio apartments.
Each room comes fully furnished with a study desk, wardrobe, storage space, and the apartment comes equipped with a fridge with freezer, microwave, oven, dishwasher, and dining table (or shared dining area).
At the end of the day though, it is the Sydney CBD location, which makes Scape Darling Square and Darling House such a great place to live. Not only does it make getting to your classes a breeze, but you are so close to the harbour that even a short walk will have you seeing Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, and of course, Darling Harbour. (Though if you don’t like walking too much, the light rail is also right at your doorstep!)
